I’m Alan and I’m the Co-Founder of TBM Solution. I’ve been in the logistics and fulfillment industry since 2000, and in that time, I’ve gained a range of experience in the world of distribution and logistics, including international goods shipping, warehousing, transportation, and brokerage of goods worldwide.
Over that time, I’ve worked with a number of companies, ranging from global brands to local start-ups in the consumer electronics, retail, and e-commerce industries. So, when the opportunity came to set up TBM Solution with Ed Corkery in 2017, we already had a good sense of what our customers needed: outsourced international freight, retail distribution, e-commerce, and fulfillment services that leave them free to focus on what they do best, which is growing and developing their business.
One of the things I love is when our customers tell us how much we bring personal relationships into how we work. For some third-party logistics providers, you’re just a number. With TBM Solution, that’s never the case. Obviously, you need to have the technology and the software to manage the work but before we get to that, there’s the important element of understanding the client’s needs. We listen and we’re there to answer the phone for them. Our customers will always talk to a human, and that’s important. TBM Solution is not a machine; if you get in touch with us, we get straight back to you. And when you work with us, we’re like an extension of your team; that’s the kind of close relationship we aim for.
My current focus is on business development and special projects within the business and TBM Solution has grown rapidly over the last couple of years. We’re always suggesting new ideas to our customers, because we believe in adding value to every project we’re involved in.
In my spare time, I’m an avid sailor and you’ll find me either on Ireland’s inland or coastal waters.
