Conditions severely impacting An Post letter and parcel deliveries
An Post has said that adverse road conditions and power outages are severely impacting letter and parcel deliveries in certain parts of the country today.
It said it will not be possible to make letter or parcel deliveries on the majority of postal routes in Cork, Kerry, Kilkenny, Limerick, Tipperary and some parts of Wicklow.
Many post offices in these counties are closed, it said, adding that some may be able to open later once power and access are restored.
The postal service said it will proceed on a safety first basis adding that deliveries will be attempted where it is safe to do so.
